Softball Returns to MCC-Maple Woods

After a short hiatus from 2006-2009, softball returned to MCC-Maple Woods in the spring of 2010 under head coach Kerry Casper. The team began playing at the newly-renovated softball complex at Happy Rock Park and spent the next two seasons building team chemistry and recruiting some of the top players from local high schools.

In 2011, Casper returned to her hometown of Ottawa, Kan., and interim coach Tiffany Meyer took the helm. Along with new assistant coach Krista Cummings, Meyer rebuilt the team around a talented group of freshmen.

After Meyer moved on to pursue other opportunities, the program was placed in the hands of Cummings, who coached the 2014 season.  Kary Kankey took over the program in August 2014 and is looking to take the program to new heights in the NJCAA.
