Old and new players meet up for a soccer showdown

After six years and more than 50 students spending time in a Monarchs uniform, old and new players reunited on the field Aug. 24, 2013.

Old vs New

"It's great to see how far this program has come," said head coach Timo Kibune. "It was good to see the alumni sharing stories and experiences with the current players."

A young team brings home victory

The Monarchs Womens Soccer Team only started in 2007. But in that time the team has proven itself time and again brining home a number of important victories and national recognition to individual players.

Timo Kibune has been the coach throughout its lifespan. During that time, the team has been to the region championship game twice and to the semi finals twice.

“It is good to see the transformation year to year from different groups and classes and how the program has grown," Coach Kibune said. "Our program has a solid foundation that includes volunteer work, community services together with fundraising activities.

This overall strategy embraced by Kibune is also upheld by his players, several of whom have been named all-americans or brought home individual awards for both success on the field and in the classroom.
