More Regional awards for Longview Lakers:
Setter Sammi Phegley and Libero Taylor Carmichael were voted 1st team All-Region following an outstanding performance this season.
Freshman Middle Hitters Lizz Pala'amo and Erin Eckhoff received 2nd team All-Region honors. They promise to be a strong force next season!
Over the past eight seasons, MCC-Longview has emerged as one of the premiere programs in the NJCAA.
The program has been ranked nationally, including several years in the top 10, and has qualified four times for the national tournament including two seasons finishing 6th and 9th respectively. MCC-Longview is also a 7-time Region XVI champion.
Additionally, the team was named as an Academic All American team in 2005, 2008, and 2011. Individually, MCC-Longview's athletes have garnered 3 All Americans and 23 All Region honors over the past eight years.
The program now boasts an eight-year record of 223 wins and 87 losses (.72 winning percentage):
