David Owens - Head Coach

David Owens.

David Owens began work with the women's program in 2015 after eight seasons working with the Trail Blazers men's team. His education and experience includes:

Education:
  • Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration, Concordia University Irvine
  • Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Gonzaga University
  • United States Soccer Federation D License
 
 
Coaching Experience:
  • Metropolitan Community College-Blue River Men's Coach and Athletics Coordinator, 2007-present
  • Brookside Soccer Club Coach, 2013 - present 
  • Futura Futbol Club Coach, 2008-2013
  • People to People, Sports Ambassadors Coach and Athletic Director, 2002-2011. Includes tournaments in Brazil, Austria, Netherlands and New Zealand
  • Rogers High School Boys J.V. and Varsity Assistant, 1999-2001
Collegiate Playing Experience:
  • Two years varsity at Gonzaga University, 1990 and 1991
  • Two years varsity at Spokane Community College, 1988 and 1989

  • NJCAA Region 16 Men's Championship, 2010 and 2014

Brad Childers - Associate Head Coach

Brad Childers brings over 20 years of competitive coaching experience to the MCC-Blue River program.  As the Head Women's Coach, he coached the Trail Blazers to the 2011 NJCAA Region 16 Championship, as well as helped guide the program to Region 16 runner-up finishes in 2008, 2014 and 2016.
